Whenever an issue or topic lends itself to such a format, HCGUG may create a
Special Interest Group, or SIG. The SIG gives members the opportunity to become
involved in topics that may be of great interest to them, and provides a means by
which GIS professionals in Hennepin County can meet to tackle specific problems or
